Wyrd is a reading. A reading needs a birth moment and very little else. We do not sell what you tell us, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and there is no advertising in Wyrd of any kind.
This is the whole list. The same list stands in the app stores' privacy forms, word for word.
email — the address the door's code goes to. It makes your account, signs you back in, and carries what you asked for (a receipt, a reading when it is made). Nothing else is sent to it.user_id — a random account number made when you first enter. Everything you keep in Wyrd hangs on it, so it comes back to you and to no one else.birth_data — the date, time and place of your birth. This is the chart's own ground; without it there is no reading. We name it plainly as data because it is: it is stored against your account so your chart persists between visits. It is used for your chart and your readings, and for nothing else.purchase_history — what you bought and when, so we can honour it: a deck reserved, a reading made by hand. Card numbers never reach us; see Payments below.user_content — what you write and draw: the reflections you set down in the Thread, the cards you record, the weaves you seal. These are yours; they are stored so they come back to you, and they are shown to no other reader.location — read once, on your phone, only while you walk a road to a waypoint or a quest to its door, and only after you say yes. The reading is compared to the waypoint and discarded. It is never sent to us and no trail is kept.push_token — a code your phone issues so a notification can reach it, kept against your account only if you allow notifications. It says nothing about you; it is the address of your phone's bell.analytics — counts of doors opened: which room was entered, whether it was a first or a returning visit, the app's version. These travel with a random install number the app makes, never with your email, your name or any birth field. Only live when the house turns it on; nothing is captured on its own.crash_data — when a room of the app falls, the error's name, its line (scrubbed of anything that could be a person) and the app's version travel to the analytics service so the fault is mended. No account id rides with it.Every one of these can be refused, and refusing one only closes the door it belongs to. Nothing else stops working.
These companies process data on our behalf. Each is used for one job and no more; none of them is given your data for its own ends.
supabase — Supabase: the database and the sign-in. Your account, your birth data, your chart and the things you write live here, each row locked to your account number.stripe — Stripe: payments. Card numbers never reach Wyrd. They go directly to Stripe, who are the ones certified to hold them. Stripe receives your email for the receipt and your account number so the purchase can be honoured; we learn only that a purchase succeeded.anthropic — Anthropic: the text of a reading is composed by its service on our server. It receives the chart's placements, the cards drawn and, when one resonates, a reflection you wrote. It does not receive your email, your name or your account number, and it keeps none of it.open-meteo — Open-Meteo: the place you type for your birth is turned into a latitude and longitude by its geocoder. It receives the place name you typed and nothing else — not who typed it.expo — Expo: the service that builds the app and carries notifications. For a notification it receives your phone's push token and the words of the notice; it never receives your chart.posthog — PostHog: the counts named under analytics above, on a server we run or one in the European Union, with the random install number and no personal field. Inert until the house turns it on.resend — Resend: carries the mail we send — a receipt, a word that your reading is made. It receives your email address and the letter, and nothing else.openai — OpenAI: when you set a reflection down in the Thread, its text is turned into a number-shape so a later draw can find an earlier thought of yours that rhymes with it, and it is checked for content that cannot be kept. The service receives the reflection's text alone — no email, no name, no account number. The site sets no cookie and carries no tracker. Vercel serves its pages; like any web host, its servers receive the address each page is asked from, to deliver it and to keep the site safe.
Wyrd is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and it is removed.
You can delete your account and everything attached to it from inside the app: Settings → the leaving. You are offered an export of your own work first. This is a real deletion, not a hidden flag.
You can also write to privacy@wyrd.dev and ask, and we do it for you.
For as long as you have an account. When you delete the account, it goes. Backups roll off within 30 days.
A birth given for a reading bought on wyrd.dev is kept for that buyer's later readings, until they ask for it to be deleted.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, or object to some of it. A request to privacy@wyrd.dev is answered within 30 days. There is no charge for asking, and no one is treated differently for having asked.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we tell you in the app before it takes effect.
